DNA-based approaches for dairy products authentication: A review and perspectives

چکیده
Food fraud has become an increasingly worldwide problem mainly driven by rapid innovation in the food sector and constantly changing consumer's choices. This led to increased necessity improve/establish reliable authentication processes, resulting replacement of protein-based techniques for dairy products higher sensitive reproducible DNA-based methods. Most used molecular methods include PCR, Real-time multiplex PCR-RFLP. Despite several available species/breeds differentiation products, there is a need development more efficient tools. In this review, traditional recent are discussed analysed. Moreover, important role bioinformatic tools analysis large amount data DNA markers also discussed. quality one major factors affecting molecular-based authentication, which can be influenced manufacturing process, extraction method employed, chemical composition matrix, among others. PCR-based continue most successfully authentication. The chosen species/breed detection factor PCR success. Although adulterant species, still unmet demand detect breeds. Available public databases bioinformatics revolutionized will pivotal effective markers.

Authentication of dairy products by immunochemical methods: a review
Antibody-based techniques for the assessment of authenticity of dairy products are reviewed in this paper. Because of the inherent complexity of the protein and peptide fractions from milk and even more so from cheese, the use of immunoreagents which are more selective than polyclonal antibodies is usually required for the assaying dairy authenticity by immunochemical methods. Significant advan...
متن کاملDNA Markers for Food Products Authentication
Media constantly refer of unscrupulous producers that adulterate, alter or replace premium products in food chains with the goal to maximize illegally profits. Food traceability is a central issue for the identification of improper labeling of processed food and feed and there are rules aimed to protect consumers and producers against fraudulent substitution of quality products in food chain, b...
متن کاملA TESLA-based mutual authentication protocol for GSM networks
The widespread use of wireless cellular networks has made security an ever increasing concern. GSM is the most popular wireless cellular standard, but security is an issue. The most critical weakness in the GSM protocol is the use of one-way entity authentication, i.e., only the mobile station is authenticated by the network. This creates many security problems including vulnerability against m...
متن کاملReview: DNA Barcoding and Chromatography Fingerprints for the Authentication of Botanicals in Herbal Medicinal Products
In the last two decades, there has been a tremendous increase in the global use of herbal medicinal products (HMPs) due to their claimed health benefits. This has led to increase in their demand and consequently, also, resulted in massive adulteration. This is due to the fact that most of the traditional methods cannot identify closely related species in a process product form. Therefore the ur...
متن کاملBioactive Peptides in Milk and Dairy Products: A Review
Functionally and physiologically active peptides are produced from several food proteins during gastrointestinal digestion and fermentation of food materials with lactic acid bacteria. Once bioactive peptides (BPs) are liberated, they exhibit a wide variety of physiological functions in the human body such as gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. These functi...
